Junior Baseball Sessions are coming back!

Updated: August 9, 2022

As the summer holidays are wrapping up, it doesn’t mean the fun has to come to an end just yet!

Hull Scorpions are running 3 junior baseball sessions on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of August at our home ground at Alderman Kneeshaw Park, Barry Marshall Field.

Who can attend?
Sessions are open to both girls and boys aged 6 to 12 years.
What does my child need to bring with them?
We provide all the equipment! All they will need is suitable sportswear, trainers and a drink.
What time are the sessions?
Sessions will begin at 11am and run until 1pm
How much will it cost?
£2 per session.
If you wish to pre-book the full 3 sessions, the cost will be £5. Please contact us directly to make the pre-booking either through the event link or to the WhatsApp contact of 07769 154859
What will my child be learning?
Session 1 – Monday 22nd
The Basics: Catching, throwing and batting.
Children will be taught the skills needed to make a safe catch, the perfect throw and how to swing a bat and make contact with the ball
Session 2 – Tuesday 23rd
Practice Drills: Base running, fielding and hitting.
Children will learn the basic rules of baseball and be taught how to run the bases, make a good fielding choice and put batting skills they learnt on Monday into practice
Session 3 – Wednesday 24th
Game day: Warm-up, batting practice and a game (just like the senior squad)
Children will be split into two teams and put their skills to the test in a friendly mini game. This will give the children chance to show off what they’ve learnt over the past two sessions and experience the great game that is baseball.
Who will be running the sessions?
A team of skilled coaches will be running the day along with volunteers from the club (male and female)
All coaching staff are DBS checked and are familiar with working with small children and we guarantee them a fun filled experience.
Feel free to message our face book page if you need any further information and we will be happy to answer any questions.
