Grant Kerry, former Hull Scorpions baseball player becomes the second Scorpion to play Division One baseball as he starts at Boise State University. He will start there next Autumn 2019.
The university has recently hired a new coach, Gary Van Tol who has been involved with the Chicago Cubs organisation for the last ten years. Van Tol was on the coaching staff of the Great Britain team when they won the European B Championships in hull in 1996.
He will be restarting the baseball program which was unfortunately lost in the 1980’s. In an interview Van Tol said “I am excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and can’t wait to start building a program Boise State and Bronco Nation will be proud of.”
We are sure Grant will be in safe hands, and we hope him and his team have good luck for next season and congratulations for his achievement
