Barry Marshall Memorial Game

This Sunday, 1st of May, sees the Hull Scorpions take on some of Hull’s finest baseball players from days gone by.

In memory of Barry Marshall, the Hull Scorpions Baseball Club would like to invite friends, family and anyone with links to the club to join us for a day of celebration as we host an official naming of the ground ceremony.
In honour of Barry, the club has made the decision to rename our home ground ‘Barry Marshall Field’
We can think of no better way to keep his memory alive and pay tribute to a true legend who loved the club, its members and the game.
 
The day will begin with a presentation and a moment of remembrance for Barry, followed by what is sure to be an outstanding display of British baseball and rounding off with a Fly Ball Knockout Challenge. 

 

Schedule for the Day

 
Arrival: 12pm

1245pm – Official Field Naming Presentation 
 
1pm – Hull Scorpions Vs Hull All Stars (7 innings over 2 hours approx.)
 

3:30pm – Fly Ball Knockout Challenge:

£5 per entry, again all funds raised will be donated to Dove House Hospice
Last one standing wins the Golden Glove Trophy!

 
Throughout the day, the club will be serving food and drink, will all proceeds from sales will be donated to Dove House Hospice.
