The Hull Scorpions AAA squad are off to a flying start

With 2 double headers under their belts, a split and a double win, the 2017 squad are going from strength to strength.

The first game of the season, Sunday April 2nd,  saw The Hull Scorpions travel to Runcorn to battle it out with the Halton Jaguars. Here they took the first game and narrowly missed out on the second.

Game one
13 runs to 8.
A dramatic 7th inning saw scorpions score 8 runs taking the game after shutting the Jaguars out in the last inning

Game two
4 runs to 8.
Halton clawed back in the last two inning of the games and kept the Scorpions at bay from claiming any more than their well ernt 4 runs.

Notable milestones: Alex Corser team debut, caught game 1. Paul Goldie game winning line drive game 1. David Brooke lead CF team debut. Adam Simpson scored on debut in game 1. Tom Rice debut in game 2. Phil Wells game 1 winning pitcher.


Sunday the 9th April The Hull Scorpions welcomed the Sheffield Bladerunners to Purex Field. A glorious day for baseball, with plenty of sunshine and two very competitive games. Hull took the double this week and as this was only their second time out as a team the club couldn’t be more happy and are excited to see what happens as they develop throughout the season

Game one
8 runs to 4.
A very close game upuntil the last two  innings when Andrew Wiltshire hit his first home run of the season and the team spirits sored even higher going into the last inning .Hull Scorpions stepped it up a gear and ran in 4 runs in the 7th inning.

Game two
17 runs to 8.
The Bladerunners put the Scorpions under serious pressure in the second game of the day, leading the way up to the 5th inning. Here Hull Scorpions responded with levelling the scores to 8-8. The 6th inning the Scorpions worked the strike zone and racked up 9 runs, taking the final score to 17-8.



This weekend, Sunday 23rd, sees the first of four roadtrips as they travel across the country to take on the Liverpool Trojans .
