Hull Scorpions are feeling very optimistic as we are nearing the 2018 season of baseball with yet again 2 senior teams entered into the Northern League.

Our Junior team ( Pirates), who are all under 11 years old, competed in 3 tournaments at Menwith Hill, Cartmel and Manchester as well as hosting one at Purex Field in Hull. With more tournaments planned for 2018 the future looks exciting.

The Hull University program is getting stronger each year with games being played at Purex Field and more students representing our senior teams.

Towards the end of the season we had enough numbers to form a mixed adult softball team and plan to play competitive fixtures in 2018.

We are very proud as a club to be one of the few baseball clubs that have more than 1 team in our league as well as a softball; university and junior team.

After a very successful 2017 season where our AAA’s qualified for the playoff finals meanwhile the AA’s unfortunately missed out qualifying by only one game, but overall success as a team of mostly under 16’s where fielded gaining valuable experience. Our junior pirates also tasted success, playing in 4 tournaments (including one of them hosted by ourselves). Softball practices started to make way and we are hoping to start playing in some tournaments for next year. Lastly we strengthened the connections with the university team, which showed more games on purex field as well as an increase of players.

we would like to wish all of the teams a happy new year and hope it brings them a lot more victories, experience and FUN
